I rather…

I would rather write about life than real estate and “how I have made my millions,” so here I am contemplating how to balance the two in hopes of gaining traction in my teachings.

The last two weeks have been insane. I am overjoyed with all of the new clients I have acquired. Two from Yelp, one from Googling taxes, a few through YouTube, some from my blog content, another through a Google search on a specific property that brought them to my Sierra Interactive website, others from my Instagram reels, a past client referral, a repeat client, a reemerged client, and those are just the ones I know about.

The balancing act has been intense. Today is the first day I haven’t shown a property in three weeks. During that time, we celebrated Juliette’s tenth birthday, caught a movie, mourned the fourth anniversary of our son’s passing, survived six nights of rehearsals & performances for Jungle Book, which stared Juliette and Lincoln while having house guests, attended Juliette’s graduation from Leadership Academy, we managed not to be late to school, attend soccer practice, Shrek Jr. & Shrek Sr. rehearsals, private tennis lessons, Ninja classes, and play some pickleball with our neighbors all while eating healthy, fighting allergies, losing a couple of pounds, and getting four clients under contract.

I know we call this life, but goodness.

Last night, I felt a little burnt out, but God blessed me with an easy day today. I treated the kids to Starbucks, got a shower in, got caught up on computer work, spoke to a few brand new clients on the phone, recorded some videos, ate a yummy lunch and dinner, hung out with the older kids & grandkids, and even snuck in two intense hours of pickleball.

Tomorrow, it will start all over again. On the agenda are three home tours, Starbucks for Lincoln (he opted for weekend Starbucks vs. Friday morning), three soccer games, an eye doctor appointment, and hopefully, some contracts to be written.

While it sounded like I was complaining, I am grateful for all of the overwhelm. I love being busy, I love having a purpose, and I love sharing my knowledge to help others find the perfect home in the perfect neighborhood. It is one of the many things I was brought into this world to do.

I am also grateful for the control I have in my life.

I was talking to a first-time home buyer today, and he was overwhelmed. I reminded him that he has all of the control. I break down and present the options and opportunities he can pursue, and he can make the decisions. I will show them in black and white, with all the facts and details, to allow him to make an educated decision. I love that part of my job. The part that makes the hard stuff easy.

It took me 7 or 8 years to get here, though, and now I am honored to help others follow the path I took, minus all the mistakes and curves.

So, like yesterday, if you are looking for more clients than you can count, feel free to hire me by emailing me at jo@byjoandco.com. I can teach you how to make content that attracts your dream client. I work with real estate agents, business owners, and entrepreneurs.

Otherwise, thank you for being here.

With love,

Jo
